Why book a cruise with a travel advisor?

Personalized Advice and Expertise:

A good travel agent can understand your travel preferences, budget, and needs, and suggest the best cruise itineraries, ships, and destinations.

Stress-Free Planning:

They can handle the complexities of cruise booking, including flights, pre- or post-cruise stays, shore excursions, and special arrangements (like dietary needs or celebrations). Also booking multiple rooms can be difficult to find close to each other.

Access to Exclusive Deals and Perks:

Travel agents often have access to special offers and deals, including onboard credits, prepaid gratuities, and other perks that you might not find when booking directly with the cruise line.

Help with Cabin Selection:

They can assist you in finding the perfect cabin, considering your preferences and needs, and even help you secure specific cabin types that might be sold out if you book directly.

Advocacy and Support:

If any issues arise before or during your cruise, your travel agent can act as your advocate and help resolve problems, saving you time and frustration. I provide tips and tricks for cruising and packing lists that are cruise-specific.

No Extra Cost:

Travel agents typically earn commissions from cruise lines, so their services are usually free to you.

Time Savings:

By letting a travel agent handle the planning, you can focus on enjoying your vacation instead of spending hours researching and booking everything yourself.

What are the best cruise lines?

These are either my personal favorites or cruise lines that come highly recommended. I break it down so you know if the cruiseline is right for your upcoming travels.

Royal Caribbean Cruise

  • Royal Caribbean is an amazing family friendly cruise line. It would also be a good fit for adult friend groups and couples. If you are hoping to avoid a lot of kids - this would not be the best pick. The bigger the ship - the louder it gets.

  • With 240 destinations in 61 countries you can cruise about anywhere. The most popular would be their Caribbean cruises. They even have a private island called Coco Cay that is a great destination for a lot of fun.

  • In choosing a ship you need to define what is important to you. Royal has “amped” ships that have been redone adding in fun attractions like water slides, skating rinks, rock walls, etc. I will help you pick a ship that aligns with your desires and destinations.

Disney Cruise

  • The Disney Cruise Line is best for families with children of all ages, as well as adults seeking a unique and magical vacation experience

    • Caribbean and Bahamas: Cruises to Nassau, Disney Castaway Cay, and other islands in the Caribbean and Bahamas.

    • Alaska: Cruises that explore the natural beauty of Alaska, including stops in ports like Skagway and Juneau.

    • Europe: Cruises to various ports in Europe, including the Mediterranean and North Europe.

    • Mexico: Cruises to destinations in Mexico, including Cozumel and Progreso.

    • Disney Island Destinations: Disney Castaway Cay and Disney Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point

    • Other destinations: Bermuda, Canada, Hawaii, New Zealand, Australia, Panama Canal, Pacific Coast, and more

  • Disney Cruises are a bigger investment than other cruise lines cost-wise. However, it has more amenities. A Disney Cruise Line vacation typically includes your stateroom, meals (except for specialty dining), soft drinks, onboard activities, entertainment - including character meet-and-greets, and access to Disney’s private island - Castaway Cay- if your itinerary has a stop there. The ships are highly themed and the shows are always family friendly and clean.

Celebrity, Carnival, Virgin, Norwegian etc.

  • Celebrity Cruises is best for travelers seeking a sophisticated and memorable cruise vacation, particularly those who appreciate upscale design, innovative cuisine, and a variety of onboard activities, including those geared towards families with older children and teens.

Carnival Cruises are generally considered a great choice for families, first-time cruisers, and those seeking a fun, affordable, and lively cruise experience.

Virgin Voyages cruises are best for adults seeking a fun, social, and unique cruise experience, with a focus on entertainment, dining, and a relaxed, upbeat atmosphere, and they are not suitable for families with children.

  • As of now - I don’t have the experience on other cruise lines but am still able to book most cruises. MSC, Margaritaville and more are all options.
